A recent Wachovia survey reported that more than half of female respondents "feel worried" when they think about being prepared for retirement. Below is a list of a few things you can do to ensure that your retirement years are the best - and least stressful - they can be.

The Echo is calling on diners to nominate their favourite to decide who will represent the town in the Tiffin Cup 2010 - a prestigious nationwide competition.

MP Martin Horwood will put forward the venue with most votes to compete against curry houses across the UK for the title of Best South Asian Restaurant.
So far votes have been flooding in with Curry Corner, in Fairview Road, and Spice Exchange, in Clarence Parade, making the early running.
Mr Horwood said: "It's too close to call at the moment. I would urge as many people as possible to come forward and register their vote."
As well as recognising high-quality Asian food, the Tiffin Cup will raise money for World Vision, a charity which works to eradicate child poverty.
The Echo will announce the restaurant which will go on to represent Cheltenham in the competition on Friday.

Kiwi comedian Penny Ashton is poking fun at the business of sex in a tour that brings her to Nelson and Takaka next week. Ashton's Hot Pink Bits show sees her trawling the ins and outs of the international sex industry. She describes her show as a "burlesque romp through the global sex trade", in which she "sings, dances and pontificates on pornography, prostitutes and politicians" while clad in fishnet stockings and a hot pink corset.

KUALA LUMPUR: An elderly couple fears their 28-year-old son, a coffee powder distributor in Mantin, Negri Sembilan, may have been murdered, after he disappeared from home with a large amount of money.
They last saw Wong Yuen Wei on July 19.
"He left home in his red Perodua Kenari carrying a lot of money.
"We're afraid someone might have robbed and killed him," said the father Wong Wah Thiam, 69, during a press conference at the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department yesterday.
Wah Thiam, who was accompanied by his wife, said his son, who has a thyroid problem, had never been away from home for long periods because he had to take his medication daily.
The couple lodged a police report at the Seremban police station three days after his disappearance.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, the family of 40-year-old Looi Chew Fatt from Kampar, Perak are worried for his safety when he did not return home after his holiday in Thailand last month.
Chew Fatt's brother, Chew Meng, said the last time he heard from his brother was on June 23, two days after he arrived there.
"It's been more than a month and we have not heard from him."

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed.
The incident took place at about 4.50pm on Saturday, in Riverside Walk, between Abbey Park Road and the National Space Centre, in Leicester. The 14-year-old victim was walking when she was stopped by a man who demanded her bag.
When the victim refused, he grabbed the bag and demanded her mobile phone, but ran away after two cyclists came towards them.
The offender made off towards Abbey Park with the victim's green Firetrap shoulder bag which contained a Firetrap purse, house keys and a black Red or Dead glasses case.
He was described as white, 20 to 22 years old, medium build, 5ft 10in to 6ft tall, with short blonde/brown hair, which was spiked up. He was wearing a black T-shirt, which had pink writing a and dark jeans.
